Leading up to your appointment there are some things you can do to ensure your tattoo will look amazing for a long time! Try to avoid too much sun exposure in the weeks leading up to your appointment. Make sure you hydrate, get plenty of sleep and eat well to keep your skin healthy. Moisturizing regularly is another way to make sure your skin is in the best state before your tattoo.

I get that we’re all human and we may need to reschedule. That’s totally okay! I ask that you give me 48 hours notice in order to keep your deposit. However if you’re having an emergency (Car breaks down, you’re sick, you need to take care of your family members, etc.) I get it and we can usually work something out. However completely failing to show up for your appointment or multiple last minute cancellations will result in the need for a new deposit.

For your appointment I always show up early. I set up my station and have your design ready to make any wait time minimal. I ask that you show up on time for your appointment. I understand some things (like traffic, children’s needs, etc.) are out of your control. If you’re finding yourself running late, please give me notice so that I can plan accordingly. If you’re an hour or more late without communicating with me before your appointment time, we’ll have to reschedule and you may lose your deposit. I try to be as understanding and accommodating as I can, so please communicate with me if you’re having any issues

I accept clients with all backgrounds and beliefs in my chair. I strongly believe in creating an inclusive space for everyone where I tattoo. That being said, I have a no-tolerance policy for the following: racism, misogyny, misandry, homophobia, transphobia, and any other form of bigotry or hate. I respect all people. If you’re rude or disrespectful in regards to the forementioned; I can and will escort you from the premises. I have the right to refuse service to anyone
-
If you are showing signs of intoxication or are unable to clearly consent at the time of your tattoo, I will not tattoo you. It’s unethical and dangerous and I will not operate my business that way. We will have to reschedule and you may lose your deposit.

I offer free touch-ups for the first few months. I ask that you give your tattoo a full month to heal before requesting a touch-up to make sure everything is settled. I’m pretty flexible with touch-ups, but if the tattoo shows signs of improper care you may be charged for your touch-up at my normal hourly rate

Tipping is not required, and I won’t hold it against you if you don’t! It’s always appreciated but I understand that tattoos are expensive. I charge what I charge so you don’t have to tip. Want to show your appreciation with a tip but don’t have the cash? I’m always open to gifts as a tip. Some of the things I love: antiques, vintage illustration and art, vintage books and magazines, family recipes and cookbooks, plants, and more!

I request that my clients don’t use numbing cream, it can cause a litany of complications with the tattoo process and it’s best to avoid it all together
-
Due to the possibility of health complications, I won’t tattoo a person who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
Here are a list of a few of those complications:Weakening of the immune system, leading to potential miscarriage or intensifying illness
Reducing the amount of ink that holds, since white blood cells are responsible for holding the ink in your dermis
Introducing trace amounts of heavy metals into your placenta and breastmilk, which can be harmful to your baby

Can you be tattooed? Yes! I ask that you please disclose any conditions that may affect your tattoo at the time of your appointment. With blood thinners we’re generally okay to tattoo. We do want to watch out for things like your blood sugar levels so make sure you’re eating well before your appointment and have any snacks you like with you. Sometimes we may need to do shorter appointments if you’re on this sort of medication but that’s okay! During your appointment listen to your body and please alert me if you’re feeling lightheaded or nauseous. With Diabetes things like low blood sugar or complications with healing may occur. During your appointment please take care of yourself and make sure you’re keeping up with your glucose. If you are diabetic and have circulatory issues, this may affect your tattoo’s ability to heal. I may advise you on tattoo placement that will be easier on the healing process.
If you have any questions or concerns about being tattooed with any condition or disability, please feel free to ask! My clients’ safety is always my top concern and I’ll do whatever we need to in order to make sure you have the best experience and tattoo!
